As a founding member of the California DX Association K6YIC has been on the DX forefront for the years that he has been licensed. Trained in the United States Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician specializing in secure communication systems such as Link16. He also is an avid collector and user of vintage vacuum tube military radios from the 1930s-1960s.

NAS Point Mugu, I was stationed at the Base AIMD in between deployments on the USS Carl Vinson CVN-70 and the USS Constellation CV-64.
